C. JULIUS CAESAR, died 44 BC. Denarius, mint moving with Caesar, about 48-47. AR 3.96 g. Female head r. (Venus or Pietas ?), wearing oak wreath, ear-pendant and necklace; in field l., number T[upside down]II (=52). Rev. CAE - SAR Trophy of Gallic arms, in field r., axe. Cr. 452/2; Syd. 1009.
Old tone. Good very fine
