ALEXANDROS III THE GREAT, king 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm, posthumous, Odessos, about 280-200. AR 16.94 g. Head of Heracles r., wearing lion skin. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus, wearing himation, nude to waist, seated l. on throne with high back-rest, holding long sceptre with his l. hand, eagle on his outstretched r. hand; in field l. KOI, monogram below throne. Price 193, 1162.
