COINS OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE. PLAUTILLA, wife of Caracalla, died AD 212. Denarius, about 202-205. AR 3.49 . PLAVTILLA - AVGVSTA Draped bust r., hair in a small bun at the back of the head. Rev. VENVS - VICTRIX Venus, nude to waist, standing facing, head turned l., her l. arm reclining on large shield, holding palm branch with her l. hand, apple on her raised r. hand; at feet, cupid l., holding helmet with both his hands.
