KINGDOM OF MACEDONIA. PERSEUS, king 179-168 BC. Tetradrachm, about 176-173. AR 17.00 g. Diademed head r. with short beard. Rev. BAΣI - ΛEΩΣ / ΠEPΣEΩΣ Eagle with open wings standing r. on thunderbolt; above and in field r., two monograms, a third one between the talons; all within oak wreath, below, plugh. Boehringer, Chronologie page 101; Mamroth, ZfN 38 (192 16,4.3 (this specimen). Good portrait. Large flan. Nice old cabinet tone Excellent pedigree. Extremely fine
