KINGDOM OF MACEDONIA. PHILIP V, king 222-179 BC. Tetradrachm, about 220. AR 16.97 g. Diademed head r. with short beard. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΦIΛIΠΠOY Athena Alkidemos, wearing long peplos, standing l., wearing crested helmet and aegis, throwing thunderbolt with her raised l. hand, protecting herself with a round shield in her r. hand, decorated with a star; in field l. and r., two monograms.
