Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on ornamental backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; chelys (lyre) in left field, spear head upward in outer right field. Price -. The chelys and spear head symbols are both well documented for Colophon, however, there are no entries in Price for the combination together. No examples in sales archives. The throne and foot stool are of particularly attractive style.
