PAMPHYLIA. Aspendus. Ca. mid-5th century BC. AR stater (19mm). NGC Fine. Ca. 460-420 BC. ΕΣ, helmeted, nude hoplite advancing right, holding sword in right hand and round shield in left; ethnic between legs / Triskeles clockwise with wing (?) on each heel and knee; uncertain object in right field, all within shallow incuse square. Rare issue with hoplite wielding sword instead of spear, ethnic on obverse instead of reverse and wings on triskeles. Likely unpublished.
