Heraclius (AD 610-641), and Heraclius Constantine. AV solidus (23mm, 4.42 gm, 7h). NGC MS 4/5 - 4/5, die shift. Constantinople, 1st officina, ca. AD 616-625. dd NN hЄRACLIЧS ЄT hЄRA CONST PP A, facing busts of Heraclius (on left), bearded, and Heraclius Constantine (on right), smaller and beardless, both wearing chlamys and simple crown with cross on circlet; cross above / VICTORIA-AVϚЧ A, cross potent on three steps; CONOB below. Sear 738. Althought the die shift on the obverse is slight, the reverse is quite a bit off, making the legend appear to end in AVϚЧЧ A.
