Description

Philip V gold 8 Escudos 1742 Mo-MF MS64 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM148. The highest graded 1742 8 Escudos by either NGC or PCGS; visually captivating, these colonial types very rarely enter such exalted levels of technical quality. Fully Prooflike with reflectivity across the entirety of the planchet, Philip's somewhat imposing portrait engraved in shallow relief and rendered perfectly with immense detail. Quite possibly the finest of this type available to commerce, and a piece worthy of consideration by all high-tier collectors of Mexican gold.
