Description

Vittorio Emanuele III gold Matte Proof 100 Lire 1925-R PR66 NGC, Rome mint, KM66, Fr-32, Montenegro-17, Pag-645. Commemorating the Silver Jubilee of the King's reign, as well as the 10th anniversary of Italy's entrance into World War I. A notably attractive matte Proof type; the sandblasting method used in its production creates no two coins equal, and this is a clear outlier for the issue. Deep, uniform mustard-yellow surfaces bear not a scratch nor notable mark of handling, struck to impressive high relief. A lofty gem specimen and amongst the finest of graded examples.
