George II gold 2 Guineas 1738 MS61 NGC, KM576, S-3667B. This is a scarcer die variety for the type with the second "A" of GRATIA slightly overlapping with the curls of George's hair. Fabulously appealing for the grade, a true Mint State representative with minimal handling and a premium strike. Glossy surfaces give a somewhat prooflike look, splashes of magenta-red tone punctuating the otherwise clean reflective fields, some very minor scuffing and a reverse metal flaw the sole detractions.
