Louis XIV Ecu 1709-A MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM386.1, Dup-1568, Dav-1324. An appealing Ecu of the "Sun King", Louis XIV, layered in gentle brass and silver tones overlapping and contrasting attractively against argent luster underneath. A small flan crack is noted over the "X" in "REX" but does not detract in the least from the beauty of this early 18th century crown. Ex.
