MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip II (359-336 BC). AV stater (19mm, 8.63 gm, 7h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. Posthumous issue of Pella, ca. 336-328 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right / ΦIΛIΠΠOY, charioteer driving fast biga right, kentron in right hand, reins in left; prow below. Le Rider 353 (D155/R269). SNG ANS -. Rare. Le Rider only lists two reverse dies with the prow symbol with only one example in sales archives in the past 20 years (Classical Numismatic Group, Mail Bid Sale 69, 8 June 2005, lot 141).
