An extremely elusive type, the dated gold issues of Minh Mang rarely coming to auction, with this particular regnal year appearing to be exceptionally difficult to locate in any condition. Despite the unfortunate polishing, the details of the design itself appear quite well-struck, some traces of red-gold toning preserved within the ornate border design. Ex.
