Description

Canada Toronto, ON- Imperial Bank of Canada $5 1.1.1910 Ch.# 375-12-06 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. A well margined Waterlow printings $5 and a nice representative for the grade that has a portrait of Edward VIII as a young boy in a sailor's uniform at center. He would go on to serve as king from 20 January 1936 until his abdication on 11 December 1936. This is the highest graded of the four of this number that we have previously auctioned. The last example that crossed our auction block was a PMG VF 25 piece that realized $3,840 in April, 2019. We expect more of the same tonight and will use the same estimate as last April one more time. From the Harry M. Eisenhauer Collection
