Description

George VI Specimen Dollar 1948 SP66 PCGS, Royal Canadian Mint, KM46. The coveted key date of this series, scarcely encountered at this elite premium gem level. Besides some light rub to the highest points of George's portrait (a routine attribute of this type in any grade), the overall effect one has is of dazzling blast-white surfaces exhibiting intense reflectivity, not a hint of toning disguising the 'mint-fresh' look. Every detail has been sharply rendered by an exacting strike, devoid of softness to any aspect of the devices. Clearly premium quality, a piece which deserves in-hand inspection for true appreciation. From the James Mossman Collection of Canadian Coinage
