Alexander I Rouble 1809 CΠБ-MК AU58 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C125a, Bit-74. A very rare assayer for the date, presented here in what appears to the cataloger as very nearly Mint State, the surfaces wholly original and thick with die polish and flow lines, a captivating iridescent envelope tone pervading throughout. We draw the prospective bidder's attention to another example in this grade we offered in our April 2011 Rosemont sale, which exceeded $4000 (lot 24710). Sold with old collector's envelope.
