China Bank of Canton Limited, Shanghai 50 Dollars 1.7.1917 Pick S153Cp S/M#K63-4 Face and Back Proofs PMG Choice Uncirculated 64; Choice Uncirculated 63. Probably the most scenic of all designs from the Republic of China Era. This private bank from Canton Province issued notes for the major trading cities of Hankow, Shanghai and Swatow. All designs featured a view of the Bund in Shanghai on the face, and a view of Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong on the back.
