Description

Victoria gold Sovereign 1864-SYDNEY MS64 PCGS, Sydney mint, KM4, Fr-10, Marsh-A372. A special Sydney Sovereign that is often found in AU grades, sometimes at the 61 level, but almost never higher than that. In fact, this specimen is the sole-finest example of the date in the PCGS census, ditto the NGC census (by a full three grade points!). Soft satin surfaces yield very few signs of contact, resulting in a luxuriously smooth aesthetic that is impressive to say the least. This offering last surfaced in 2021 where it brought nearly $20,000 all-in, and we are excited bring it to market once again, surely much to the delight of waiting Australia Sovereign enthusiasts.
