South Africa Cape Commercial Bank 10 Pounds 7.6.1879 Pick S162 Very Fine. The Cape Commercial Bank operated from 1854-1882. It had 3 offices in the Cape Colony, and 4 offices in Transvaal. The example on offer was issued in Potchefstroom, De la Rey country. It is handsigned and dated. The body of the note would grade Very Fine, but is cut cancelled down the middle. The only record we could find was a Grade 10 piece that sold for $900 in 2015. Krause does not attempt put a value on this Pick type. Rare in any form. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
