Italian Somaliland Cassa per la Circolazione Monetaria 100 Somali 1950 Pick 15a PMG Very Fine 25 Net. A rare post war Italian colonial issue, this 100 Somali note was issued when Italy began administration of the colony under a UN mandate, taking over for the British who had occupied the area since 1941. Italian administration ended in 1961. At left is a statuesque vignette of a lion's head. The net grade is due to discoloration, a minor repair, and rust.
