India Reserve Bank of India 1000 Rupees ND (1937) Pick 21a Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 4.8 PCGS Extremely Fine 45. Though Bombay is the the financial center of India, 1000 Rupee notes from any location are rare. This well preserved example allows the collector to enjoy this denomination as if it was freshly printed, with wonderful color and details. Chances of such a high denomination surviving in any condition at all were slim. This note had to weather a world war and then shortly thereafter it was demonetized in January 1946. This very rare Indian note's only flaws are a few repaired edge tears and some writing in ink that has been partially removed. From the Yuri Solovey Collection of India and Subcontinent
