Description

Norodom I gold Specimen Pattern 4 Francs 1860 AU Details (Mount Removed) PCGS, Fr-2a, KMX-Pn10, Lec-81a. Among the more popular emissions from Cambodia, especially when located in this likely later gold striking. Clearly a prize to a previous owner with evidence of mounting at the obverse rim at 5 o'clock, ultimately doing little to distract from the general crudeness of this issue from prominent die rust. Despite this, the piece remains largely original, with ample remnant detail and appreciable surfaces that are best appreciated when viewed in-hand.
