George I 6 Pence 1723-SSC MS63 NGC, KM553.2. Variety with small lettering on obverse. One of a mere three examples of this scarce "South Sea Company" type that we have handled in Mint State, with just 5 examples certified higher for the variety between NGC and PCGS combined. Amazingly bold, hardly a trace of striking weakness in the devices apparent, with subtle cabinet toning and some minor haymarking.
