Description
South Peru. Republic gold 8 Escudos 1837-BA MS61 NGC, Cuzco mint, KM167. A rarely encountered Mint State example, with vibrant luster and remarkably well struck. Quite attractive, having mildly prooflike fields. The first gold type issued by the short-lived State of South Peru, and having a gorgeous design.
