Consejo de Estado (Council of State) badge bearing the the portrait of Maximo Gomez on the front, surrounded by blue enameling and golden lettering, the reverse bearing the emblem of the Republic of Cuba with "Republica de Cuba" above and "Consejo de Estado" below. We note that one of the two pins on the reverse which are meant to be affixed to the bearer's clothing has broken off from the top, though fortunately with insignificant consequence to eye appeal due to the location of the break.
