Pedro II silver Proof Pattern 10000 Reis 1888 PR65 NGC, cf. Bentes-E22.04. A scarce silver pattern issue which appears to be based on the gold 10000 Reis of the same year. Accordingly we note that this example was mis-attributed by NGC as a 100 Reis. Struck in Proof finish, with mirrored fields and a crescent of charcoal and iridescent blue tone on both obverse and reverse. From the Engelen Collection of World Coinage
