Description

British India. Victoria gold Mohur 1841.-(c) MS61 PCGS, Calcutta mint, KM462.1, S&W-3.7. Type A obverse, Type I reverse. W.W. incuse on truncation, plain 4 (without serif), small date. Highly captivating for a type we have seen with increasing frequency in recent years, and one awash such notable mint freshness that a finer Mint State assignment might initially be expected upon viewing, yet precluded from such by wisps to the fields. Despite these, the piece faces up especially fine and remains commendable at this quality. From the L. William Libbert Collection HID09801242017 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
