INDIA. Kushan Empire. Vima Takto (Soter Megas). Ca. AD 1st-2nd centuries. AE tetradrachm (21mm, 8.42 gm, 12h). NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 3/5. Derived from the Attic standard copper didrachm/reduced Indian standard copper tetradrachm, circulating in Bactria, the Kabul Valley, Gandhara, and the Punjab, likely minted in Begram. Bust of Miiro right, seven rays emanating from head, wearing diadem with ribbons to left, and cloak, filleted arrow in raised right hand; tamgha with crossbar and three prongs to left, dotted border / ΒΑCΙΛΕΥC ΒΑCΙΛΕΩΝ CΩΤΗΡ ΜΕΓΑC, king on horseback right, wearing soft Iranian cap with long diadem ribbons, nomad jacket, and trousers, pickaxe in raised right hand; tamgha with three prongs and crossbar to lower right.
