Extremely unusual and totally unpublished, this striking piece appears to mule a Henry III short cross penny obverse with the reverse die of an Aquitanian Sterling, likely of the period of Edward III. Of the highest rarity and supreme interest amongst collectors of English and Anglo-Gallic coins alike.
