SELEUCID KINGDOM. Antiochus III the Great (222-187 BC). AR tetradrachm (29mm, 11h). NGC VF. Uncertain Mint 71, perhaps Seleucia on the Tigris or a subsidiary, from 204 BC. Diademed head of Antiochus III right, in middle age, with features less idealized than in preceding, tousled hair, marked baldness at temple, thick diadem ends waving upward; dotted border / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTI-OXOY, Apollo seated left on omphalus, testing arrow in right hand, left hand on grounded bow behind; ΠΔEΘT monogram in outer left field, ΔIΩP monogram in outer right field, dotted border.
