Sultans of Gujarat. Nasir al-Din Mahmud Shah I (AH 863-917 / AD 1459-1511) gold Tanka ND MS65 NGC, Muhammadabad mint, Fr-581, G&G#-G82. A superlative example of this "heavy" Tanka type displaying the reverse legend within a double square. Beaming with canary yellow mint brilliance and coated with a soft layer of frost, its hard to imagine a dramatically more well-preserved of this type exists, though the obverse is slightly off-center.
