MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip II (359-336 BC). AR tetradrachm (25mm, 14.43 gm, 7h). NGC MS 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style. Lifetime or posthumous issue of Amphipolis, ca. 342-328 BC. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΦIΛIΠ-ΠOY, nude youth on horseback right, palm in right hand, reins in left; janiform head below horse. Le Rider 355-372. SNG ANS 529-532. Punch mark on cheek noted for accuracy. This coin features a magnificently rendered portrait of Zeus, showcasing the artist's meticulous attention to the individual locks of hair.
