Julius Caesar, as Dictator Perpetuo (ca. February-March 44 BC), with Lucius Aemilius Buca, as Moneyer. AR denarius (20mm, 3.84 gm, 1h). NGC Choice Fine 2/5 - 3/5, edge cut. Rome. CAESAR•DICT-PERPETVO, laureate head of Julius Caesar right / L•BVCA, winged caduceus and fasces crossed in saltire; globe, clasped hands, and securis in three quarters. Crawford 480/6. Sydenham 1063. This series of coins containing the "DICT PERPETVO", or Dictator in Perpetuity, in conjunction with his lifetime portrait, is considered by historians as the coins that killed Caesar.
