Republic Hsu Shih-chang "Pavilion" Dollar Year 10 (1921) UNC Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Tientsin mint, L&M-864, Kann-676, WS-0101. Reeded edge, with lower legend on reverse variety. Ever-collectible and a series which has seen significant surges in demand in recent years for all varieties and preservations. While the portrait of Hsu Shih-chang makes this issue instantly recognizable, it's the expertly engraved reverse design of the pavilion at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital that is most appreciable, departing from any contemporary Dollar design. While the obverse surfaces are perhaps a touch muted, the reverse bellows with resounding satiny brilliance, making for a top-tier candidate of an advanced cabinet.
