Prince Edward Island. Victoria Cent 1871 MS67 Red PCGS, Heaton mint, KM4. Coin alignment variety. A high-energy selection with roaring mint bloom cascading throughout the incredibly well-preserved, practically immaculate obverse. The reverse admits few wisps and spots that detract little from the overall impression of quality at hand, owing to the crispness of the strike and touches of brilliance to the open expanses. Interestingly, the PCGS appears to have certified ten times as many medal alignment variety coins than this coin alignment type. The present selection is for some reason indexed under medal alignment at PCGS, but would be tied for the highest awarded grade in the coin alignment certified population.
