Indigenous Coin Doll with Assorted Issues ND (ca. 19th Century), A delightful, hand-made Bolivian doll that is adorned with 31 coins of different denominations and years. The coins are all Bolivian silver issues, ranging from the early 1800's into the late 1800's. Each coin is holed, necessary to sew them into the front of multi-colored dress. The doll measures 5.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide (longest part of her dress), weighing a total of 96.46gm. Overall, a fascinating artifact that beautifully merges two aspects of Bolivian culture.
