A comparatively magnificent example of this scarce Civil War issue, finer details observable on the saddle and even a trace of resolute emotion on the king's face, his mustache and beard preserved and his head turned slightly towards the viewer. Typical unevenness and flan irregularity is present, though the overall luminescence, and superb execution of the reverse shield, secure its peak grade.
