George I "South Sea Company" Crown 1723 MS62 NGC, KM545.2, S-3640. DECIMO edge. The first Mint State example we've offered in over ten years. Conditionally very scarce, admitting few old scrapes and adjustment marks to obverse, still a wonderful representative for this elusive type struck from silver supplied by the South Sea Company. With tinges of mint bloom teeming in the outer legends and a boldly struck reverse that boasts underlying ice-blue toning, this is a very tempting target for the dedicated Crown collector.
