Description

Victoria gold Proof Sovereign 1893 PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS, KM785, S-3874. At almost the peak of perfection! Of 170 examples of this type graded by either NGC or PCGS, just 6 have reached the PR67 grade level with only 3 graded higher. An immaculate gem Proof showing heavily frosted contrast on both the Queen's portrait and mounted St. George slaying the dragon, superb in every way, from its deeply mirrored fields to the color of the gold. We find the reverse to be especially charming, as the delicate golden haze surrounding the prancing horse looks like morning mist. Fabulous in every respect, a near-perfect coin guaranteed to generate strong bidding.
