Nero (AD 54-68). AE sestertius (35mm, 27.00 gm, 6h). NGC XF 5/5 - 2/5, Fine Style, smoothing. Rome, ca. AD 64. NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, laureate bust of Nero right, aegis on left shoulder / CONG II-DAT POP, Nero, bare-headed and togate, seated right on curule bench on platform; official seated right on another platform extending congiarium to citizen on stairs with small boy behind him, Minerva (on left) standing facing in background, head left, owl in right hand, spear in left, and Liberalitas (on right) standing facing in background, head left, coin counter upward in right hand, S C in exergue.
