A beautiful and lustrous gold issue struck with a pleasing degree of uniformity across the shield, with only a gradual softness toward the lower right area. The strike is well-placed, with the reverse cross to be found almost squarely in the middle of the planchet. Very gently toned, with just a hint of honeyed color found in localized areas along the periphery.
