Quartered arms of Castile and Leon with S mintmark at top of cross. A superbly struck and satiny example with a wonderfully balanced eye appeal, particularly for this normally cruder issue. The reverse on this offering is especially commendable, showing a uniform strong strike, well-centered on the nicely round planchet.
