Description

Philip V gold Cob 2 Escudos ND (1708-13)-Mo MS64 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM53.1, S-M30. 6.70gm. From the 1715 Plate Fleet. A marvelous example boasting exceptionally sharp detail and the characteristic satiny surfaces of a shipwreck issue, a quality admired by many collectors. The planchet is a rich gold color, endowing the piece with a well-deserved feel of a true treasure find. Close to the finest graded, with only a single MS65 example seen by NGC.
