Julius Caesar, as Dictator (49-44 BC). AR denarius (17mm, 3.97 gm, 4h). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 3/5, scuff, edge cut. Military mint traveling with Caesar in Greece, Apollonia, July 48 BC. Female head (Venus?) right, wearing pendant earring, necklace, stephane and oak wreath, hair bound in jeweled chignon at back of head; LII behind / CAE-SAR, trophy of Gallic arms and armor, with horned helmet and chainmail shirt; shield, carnyx, and securis left.
