Description

George III Counterstamped Bank Dollar of 5 Shillings ND (1797-1799) AU55 PCGS, KM627, S-3765A. Host: Chile Charles IIII 8 Reales 1793 So-DA (cf. KM51, Cal-1022); Countermark: Type I oval bust of George III (UNC Detail). Satiny throughout with only mild signs of handling on this cabinet-aged specimen. The bold details of the host and countermark provide for a gratifying viewing experience. Specialists will note that the Chilean host is the most difficult to locate, so this top-pop beauty should attract attention.
