IONIA. Magnesia ad Meandrum. Ca. mid-2nd century BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 16.76 gm, 12h). NGC Choice AU 4/5 - 5/5. Herognetos, son of Zopyrion, magistrate. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, wearing stephane, hair tied in knot at back of head, bow and quiver over left shoulder / MAΓNHTΩN / HPOΓNHTOΣ / ΞΩΠYPIΩN, Apollo, nude, standing left on maeander pattern, laurel branches downward in right hand, leaning on tripod with left arm; all within laurel wreath.
