An exceptionally well-preserved specimen from the inaugural series struck during the early stages of the nascent Republic era following the abdication of Pu Yi. Featuring a somewhat primitive rendering of the provisional Vice President with hat and military uniform, identifying itself among the lesser-encountered examples from these early years. Ample mint flash abounds the fields, only disrupted by the occasional wisp and mottled tone, which ultimately do little to hinder the overall appeal of this piece.
