Taiwan. Republic copper "Chiang Kai-shek" Medal Year 26 (1937) MS62 Brown PCGS, L&M-968 var. (there, in silver), WS-0127. 33mm. A difficult Medal to locate in any state of preservation, let alone approaching a Choice assignment, with only a single other finer conditional occupant seen at market in the last decade. Interestingly, this type very closely copies the portrait used on the 1936 Medallic Dollars produced by the Shanghai mint (cf. Kann-694 and 694x, Shi Jiagan Collection-657) in commemoration of the promulgation of the Constitution. We would note that while Wang Chun Li lists this Medal only in copper, the example he plates appears to be in silver. Ex.
