Pedro I gold Dobla of 35 Maravedis ND (1350-1369) MS62 NGC, Seville mint, Fr-105, Cay-1276. 4.49gm. +PЄTRVS: DЄI: GRACIA: RЄX: CASTЄLLЄ: Є LЄGIOn (triple pellet stop after DЄI), crowned bust of king left / +PЄTRVS: DЄI: GRACIA : RЄX : CASTЄLLЄ: Є LGIOnIS, quartered arms with lions and castles, an "S" in the fourth quarter. A handsome medieval Spanish gold coin sporting well-defined rims and dentils, and an exquisitely centered strike. An impressive level of craftsmanship for the period, although there are a few notable areas of planchet roughness in the central obverse.
